The De Anza Force is proud to offer our membership the complete spectrum of regional and national youth soccer competition platforms available in the U.S. Our competition platform options allow our players a pathway to grow, both in soccer and in life, at every ability level and development milestone, from recreational soccer to our elite college soccer preparatory programs.

MLS NEXT

MLS NEXT

De Anza Force is proud to be a founding member of the MLS NEXT elite player development platform. Founded in 2020, MLS Next represents the highest level of boys soccer competition, training, and personal development opportunities available in the U.S. The current membership includes 113 clubs, 489 teams, 9,000+ players across the U.S. and Canada and features over 90% of the current youth national team player pools. While winning games will always be important, MLS NEXT believes success is measured by the growth and development of each player – becoming a better player, growing as a person, attending college and signing a professional contract are the true benchmarks of their success.

Key Highlights

  • Current MLS NEXT membership includes 30 MLS professional academy clubs and 83 elite youth academy clubs across the U.S.
  • Force MLS NEXT coaches are committed to the development of players and receive continuing education specific to the best approaches to player development.
  • Each MLS NEXT player will receive a holistic plan for personal growth, including on-field, strength and conditioning, academic, college placement and specific support tailored for the needs of the individual.
  • MLS NEXT clubs will participate in a year-round competitive schedule, including League matches, Events and Playoffs. Clubs can enter teams at the U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 age groups.
  • MLS NEXT is part of the Force College Program, and will provide college recruitment opportunities as well as player identification for youth national and professional teams

Boys NPL

NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUE

The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is a national competition platform for boys and girls that contains 19 member leagues across the U.S. The De Anza Force has been a proud member club in the NorCal Premier NPL League since its inception. NPL member clubs must meet competition, technical/coaching, administrative, disciplinary, and player production standards over several years of NorCal membership.

Key Highlights

  • Force has NPL teams in each of its U14 through U19 age groups
  • NPL is a promotion and relegation-based league with multiple levels of competition allowing for consistent, meaningful high-level games
  • The competition platform is structured to provide an opportunity for a national championship
  • Force NPL players attend showcase tournaments for identification and recruitment by college coaches
  • NorCal has Pre-NPL for the U-12 and U13 ages groups which is intended to bridge the gap between regionally-based leagues in younger age groups, and statewide competition in U14-U19 age groups.

NorCal

NORCAL PREMIER

De Anza Force is a proud member of the NorCal Premier competitive soccer league which serves a large area of the Northern California peninsula from Salinas to Mendocino, the Stockton and Sacramento interior region, and as far east as the Lake Tahoe and Reno. The mission of NorCal Premier is to elevate soccer by developing players, clubs, coaches, and referees. They accomplish this by offering the complete spectrum of competition levels for every age group from 4v4 U8 all the way to U19 men and women.

Key Highlights

  • Force has boys and girls NorCal Premier competitive teams in every age group from U8 to U19
  • There are 9 regions total in NorCal Premier, representing almost 300 clubs
  • Force competes in Region 2, one of the largest and most competitive regions, which stretches from Salinas to San Francisco
  • Region 2 is often split into a North and South division
  • NorCal Premier runs the State Cup, a large regional tournament played over the course of each year. NorCal State Cup draws teams from all 9 regions competing for unified championships, in multiple divisions based on a team ranking system.
